As one of the most unique sweet pea varieties, ‘Earl Grey’ features flowers flaked in a dusky combination of maroon, purple, and mauve. The unusual colour combination make it especially useful in floral arrangements, pairing well with various other colours. A real gem in the garden or vase.

Plant Type: annual

Height: 5 - 8’

Exposure: full sun

Growth Habit: climbing vine

How to sow:

Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outdoors. Harden off and transplant outdoors  with the late frosts of spring. Seedlings won’t be harmed by a late frost. Seeds may also be direct sown in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Pinch seedlings when 6” tall.

Select a planting site with rich, well-draining soil. Provide plants with climbing support. Deadhead regularly to ensure continuous bloom. Keep plants well-watered through warmer weather. 75-85 days to maturity.
