A very productive variety of this old-fashioned garden classic. The scented plants produce numerous flowers along stems. The flowers emerge from characteristic whorls which begin as green-grey and slowly age to pink-purple. Beautiful in the garden or bouquets.

Plant type: annual

Height: 24-30”

Planting depth: surface sow

Exposure: full sun

Plant spacing: 12”

Approx seeds per packet: 100

How to sow:

Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, barely covering the seeds. Harden off seedlings and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Pinching is not necessary.

Care:

Bee balm blooms over a long period from mid to late summer. A perennial in zone 6 and warmer. Can be grown as an annual elsewhere. Harvest when whorls begin to turn purple for a long lasting cut flower. 110-120 days to maturity.
