Peach coloured blooms held up on long stems. Foxglove is an old fashioned classic, popular in cottage style gardens. Stems are covered in charming, nodding blooms. A favourite among pollinators. A charming addition to the garden or floral arrangement. A first year flowering variety.
Plant type: annual
Height: 24-36”
Planting depth: surface sow
Exposure: part sun
Plant spacing: 12”
Approx seeds per packet: 25
How to sow:
Sow seeds indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost. Do not cover seeds as light is required for germination. Harden off seedlings and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Pinching is not necessary.
Care:
While foxglove performs best in partial sun/shade, plants will also tolerate full sun with additional watering. Harvest cut flowers just as the first few flowers begin to open. Deadheading will encourage a second flush of flowers.
