Blooms in a vibrant shade of coral emerge from a backdrop of rich green foliage, making 'Cherry Rose' a real stand out in the garden. An easy to grow, old fashioned favourite. Nasturtiums can be grown in the garden or containers. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible and make a lovely garnish.
Plant type: annual
Height: 10-12”
Planting depth: 1”
Exposure: full sun
Plant spacing: 9-12”
Approx seeds per packet: 15
How to sow:
Direct sowing is recommended once garden soil has warmed up. May also be sown indoors 4 weeks before last frost. Harden off seedling and transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Pinching is not necessary.
Care:
Nasturtiums are trailing and will grow 2-3' or more if provided with a support. Otherwise, plants can be allowed to spread in the garden, or trail handsomely over the edge of a planter. Over fertilization will result in more foliage and fewer flowers. 70-80 days to maturity.
