A rather unique colour among stock varieties, 'Vintage Brown' produces stems of muddy-rose blooms, and features a characteristic warm, spicy scent. Roughly half of the plants will produce single flowering blooms, and the other half will produce doubles. While singles are still useful, plan to grow twice as many if you’re hoping for double blooms.

Plant type: annual

Height: 16-20”

Planting depth: 1/4”

Exposure: full sun

Plant spacing: 6-9”

Approx seeds per packet: 50

How to sow:

Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last frost date. Harden off and transplant outdoors after last frost. Pinching is not necessary.

Care:

Stock tends to perform best in cooler temperatures, so plant out as soon as conditions allow. Staking may be necessary. For best vase life, harvest when the lower one-third of the blooms on a stem are open and remove most of the foliage. 80-90 days to maturity.
